RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
You know what I am not sure the court is going to rule the right way but I promise I will vote for Chuck Baldwin even if I have to write him in. If it doesn't count it doesn't count but I have faith that this country will be restored soon.

RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
This is sad, but it changes nothing here in Kentucky. We will continue to work to get Baldwin our eight electoral votes.

RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
I am a former AIP state chairman very involved in the ongoing situation in California and let me say that the last two "posters" have it exactly right. Keep your focus on what you can control and affect.
Believe me, the vast majority of AIP leaders and activists are supporting Baldwin and are doing everything possible to correct this situation. In the meantime, those of you in other states can help by doing your best to see that things go well in your own states.

RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
According to the Constitution Party web site : http://www.constitutionparty.com/ba_stats.php
"California.......American Independent Party........On....................Ballot!"
???
That is true. It is just that the faction the CA SoS recognized has put Alan Keyes on the ballot instead of Chuck Baldwin. This is still in dispute and will be settled in court probably in Chuck Baldwin's favor.
WHEN WILL WE KNOW????

RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
"I told Gary Odems not to hold two convention, but fight it out at the convention held by Ed Noonan. This way Baldwin would have had a better chance of getting on ballot. Remeber this when voting for Nationa CP Offices. We had 4 years to get ready for 2008.
Glenn,
You once again have the facts all wrong. Unfortuately those who don't know the facts may think you have some idea what you are talking about.
Noonan cancelled the first convention, which by the way, he had scheduled at a Dennys Restuarant in Sacramento, when he realized that he was going to be outvoted by the party regulars. Many of our people had already scheduled to fly up there and had made reservations for hotel rooms as well. Many were not able to get refunds on their flights after Noonan abruptly cancelled the meeting.
Only then did the majority of state officers of the California AIP, having the genuine concern that Noonan, who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar trying to stack the deck at the previously scheduled convention, would simply not call a convention at all thus leaving the party without a candidate, petition pursuant to the terms of the bylaws to call the convention.
Glenn, you and I never discussed this subject or you would know that it was never the intention of the legitimate AIP leadership to have two conventions. The second "convention" (which ultimately was attended by 19 people, one of whom was a mole for our side) was called by Noonan, Seidenberg and Robinson as a ploy of Seidenberg's to confuse the issue with the Secretary of State (which, to give the devil his due, has worked so far) because he knew they couldn't win a straight up vote with legitimate delegates at a properly called state convention. [So far, the state has made a non-decision continuing (wrongly, to continue to recognize Noonan)]
Glenn, please don't come on sites such as this and attempt to give the impression that you tried to give me some kind of wise counsel which I refused to take when: 1) it isn't true, and 2) you apparently have no idea what you are talking about concerning these events in California.
Anyway, if this serves in some way let people know a brief synopsis of what happened, then maybe it is not a total waste of time and space.
You do much more good when you concentrate on positive support for the campaign than when you fan the flames of dissension.
All the best,
Gary Odom

RE: Baldwin NOT on California Ballot??
As one who has done and does legal research for many years, allow me to add my thinking. (I am not an attorney)
Read all of the posts and how they contradict each other.
why doesn't someone just go in the the California Statutes and research the procedure that has to be followed by both the Party Chairman and the Secretary of State Office -- when that is understood then you know how to proceed and how to perfect a lawsuit if necessary.
I could do it in short order if I resided in California, but I won't get involved nor could I from here in Missouri.
Let me add and perhaps make a "few" angry. Too often and perhaps most often posts are made without all of the facts or they are presented incorrectly. I could give an example here in MO but I won't for a particular reason. The jist of it was -- that the CP put out some information that was only partially correct and when I researched the situation it was an all together different story.
My point is: Always tell the exact truth. This is the reason that I have some problems with the Constitution Party (though I will vote for CB) the truth is not completely espoused. Gosh how we need the Lord to straighten out this mess!
