CP on Ballot in Illinois
Richard Winger has just reported that because of a strange quirk in Illinois election laws, the Constitution Party and New Party have both qualified to be on the ballot. Neither submitted enough petitions to actually achieve this, but no one challenged their petitions. The Libertarians and Ralph Nader’s petitions also remain unchallenged, but they had the neccesary signatures.

We had 300 signatures of the some 25,000 required, but since no one challanged them we got on the ballot.

I hope something like that can happen in Pennsylvania.

RE: CP on Ballot in Illinois
LOL-The LORD works in mysterious ways, HIS wonders to behold !!!
Remember ILLINOIS 2008 !
Chuck and Castle (and us too) need to get the 9-11 truth movement to help us on ballot access! As in today, tomorrow and everyday until the last Deadline !!! I think they will help us because BaldWIN/Castle will help their efforts by offering to create an independent investigation of new credible evidence on the matter. I believe as Ron Paul does on the issue, however I think credible evidence should be looked at in any case, this one included.
This is ENCOURAGING to me friends, add 21 more EC Votes to which we are qualified. This news just makes me feel GOOD inside. LOL

RE: CP on Ballot in Illinois
Pennsylvania and Maryland are the only states where we were on the ballot in 2004 that we MAY not qualify in 2008.
But we've qualified in Hawaii, Vermont, and Illinois--all of which we werent on in 2004.

I think PA will be okay but I have grave doubts about MD.

I'm in Pennsylvania but have not yet gotten any information about getting on the ballot. How do you know PA will be OK? What information do you have?

I don't "know" that PA will be okay but I believe it will. According to the CP website there are 4000 signatures collected so far which is well short of the requirement. Since the CP has qualified many times before I don't see them letting it slip through their fingers by accident. Also, the national HQ is located in PA so it would be a major embarrassment for the party to fail to qualify. I have not seen my July 1 issue of Ballot Access News yet (I am out of town and haven't seen my mail in a few days) so I don't have the latest update from Richard Winger. Like I said, I don't "know" that everything is on track for ballot access but I suspect we would be hearing about it if national was worried.

RE: CP on Ballot in Illinois
I just spoke with the CPer in charge of nationwide ballot-access and he said we'd be on the ballot in Pennsylvania. Maryland is a stretch.
