I'm in the NCCP. The chair is stepping down, if no one else steps forward, then the vice chair will assume chairmanship until elections can be held later this year (probably after November's elections). Some have shown interest in the position, but are currently running for office.

Due to NC's tough party laws, NCCP isn't as large as other state parties. NCCP is more active in the western counties where the base of the membership is located.

We no longer have a Vice Chair, as Mr. Huband as notified me he is going back to the GOP to "fight for its soul" or something like that.

No one, yet, in Western CP has even acknowledged my stepping down, last I heard they were re-writing the bylaws, for some unknown reason.

Good people all, but no one there has stepped forward yet for some unknown reason. No hard feelings on my part, time is too short to be sensitive.

Wait you can't just write in Chuck Baldwin? He has to be write-in candidate. Wow but hey this is what happens in a two-party dictatorship where choice is only an illusion.

Thank the Lord, yet another is waking up and hopefiully, ready to fight for the once proud republic!!!!

Free and open ballot access has been largely a myth for almost a 100 yrs now, though the 1950 durham city election was unique and probably contributed to stricter fascist laws.

Sometime in next few days, the Lp/Green lawsuit should have a decision.

Also, HR88 (version 3/original version)needs to be brought up again and voted on. Was originally drawn up by Jennifer Weiss(D) and Skip Stam®.

I wrote in Peroutka Baldwin in 2004, knowing that it would be thrown out, yet knwoing I was loyal to principle and God.

If voting for what is right, no matter the consequence-is a wasted vote, than it is a slap in face to God and those around us watching us and gaining strength from our stand.

What hope did 11 scruffy men and women have in the uuper room.

Go to Peroutka's old site and listen the the 2004 speeches-esp Baldwin's and Doug Phillips. They should point you to the correct way of thinking. Also, search the site for former CP NC Chariman Michael Harrison's article on wasted vote.

I think you misunderstood my point.

By this I mean that if Paul, who has my vote first and foremost, as I have voted for him today in our State's Primary, is not willing to place his name on a write-in petition, but Baldwin is, then why should I vote for Paul, where my vote won't count, when I can vote for Baldwin, and at least it will be tallied. If there is an option to vote for someone without sacrificing your values, beliefs, and principles, why should you not vote for someone that will be counted, rather than someone who would not. That is all I'm saying.

Believe me good sir, you must vote not only your conscience, but vote for who the Lord leads you too.

I'll take this line,

"If voting for what is right, no matter the consequence-is a wasted vote, than it is a slap in face to God and those around us watching us and gaining strength from our stand."

as you not understanding what I was saying, because as I have explained above, you're statement is correct. I've always felt this way. You must vote for what is right by your conscience and your believes and values above all else.

In Liberty my friend.

Gotcha!, let us move forward.

I voted in primary last night for Ron Paul out of principle.

he got 8% NC vote, not suprising as NC has turned its back on their ancestors who vote against the tyrant Lincoln and his corporitist wars of aggression and centralization.

NC btw was early on board for Real ID

My wife & I voted for Ron Paul yesterday. Since everyone has been brainwashed with "McCain is the presumptive candidate", etc., I was surprised that Ron Paul received as many votes as he did. I noticed Keyes received some as well.

I kind of was shocked that Keyes received 13,553 votes, and then 20,226 voted for No Preference. At least 26% of the less than approx. 515,000 voters in the Republican Primary haven't sold their souls yet Smile

Considering that Keyes has "left the GOP" I was surprised that he received that many as well.
