Ohio Ballot Access

Quote:
Ohio Constitution Party Submits Presidential Petition
July 16th, 2008

On July 14, the Ohio Constitution Party submitted almost 12,000 signatures to place Chuck Baldwin on the November ballot as an independent presidential candidate. He is the first independent presidential petition to submit a petition in Ohio this year. The state requires 5,000 signatures, but Ohio voter registration records are so poorly maintained, no one is safe unless they turn in double the requirement.

RE: Ohio Ballot Access

Just got word from the Ohio Secretary of State's office. Chuck is on the ballot in Ohio! Official paperwork to follow in a few days.

ALSO! The Secretary of State and current Attorney General are meeting with me on Friday August 15 to discuss putting Chuck on the ballot with the tag "Constitution Party". This is a result of a favorable ruling in a case filed by the Libertarian Party. We already have litigation pending in Federal Court and will press for a legal solution if the talks fail.

Lastly: Check out http://www.owens2008.com

In a recent state internet poll done by Fox News in Columbus, CP of Ohio Chairman Robert Owens was in first place for Ohio Attorney General! (election is Nov. 4)

As a former resident of Ohio, I support the candidacy of Robert Owens. Perhaps the state will vote on priniciple, and not on party lines. Ohio is a great state and needs to move away from socialist thinking.

Good news! I grew up there and my parents still live there.

RE: Ohio Ballot Access

For the first time in Ohio history, the Constitution Party had full party recognition and ballot access. Baldwin/Castle was listed with the "Constitution Party" designation under their name.
