Southwest Missouri Rallies for America
SPRINGFIELD, MO—Disaffected voters in the southwest portion of Missouri have begun to flock to the Constitution Party.
From Springfield’s Ozark Empire Fair (the second-largest fair in Missouri,) the Constitution Party’s candidate for the 7th Congressional District, Travis Maddox, reports, “The response we’re seeing here is phenomenal. I’m putting in twelve hour days. Dr. [Gregory] Thompson [Constitution Party gubernatorial candidate] and I are handing out campaign brochures and party information by the hundreds, if not thousands. We’re being bombarded by voters who are asking questions about how to join up and our stands on the issues. They leave liking what they’ve heard.
“We’ve covered a lot of county fairs and local events in the region, and we’re getting the same response wherever we go.”
Maddox has an explanation for the huge response: “People are so hungry for something different, something better. They realize that the political system in America is broken and that those currently in power—Republican or Democrat—are either unable or unwilling to fix it. They realize that the huge problems this country now faces stem from leadership that puts private interest and greed over the public good. They realize that it’s time to do something about it and vote people into office who offer principle rather than an immoral business-as-usual attitude. [NOTE: Both Maddox and Thompson have been fired from jobs rather than compromise what they know to be right.] That’s what the Constitution Party offers.”
The Constitution Party is the third largest(by voter registration), fastest growing political party in America.
