RE: States with ballot access
I'm in Illinois and joining the constitution party this year (put it off long enough, even though I'm in my younger 20's). I was curious to if anyone knew what the status of Illinois' ballot access is in regards to the CP? I'm going to have a good amount of time in the first two weeks of June to help out if its needed, or at least getting the word out. Any hints or suggestions?

here is a link to the Illinois contact info. I'm sure they can use your help. http://www.constitutionparty.com/view_st...p?state=IL

Thank you much, I figured I would need to contact Stufflebeam, I've only heard great things about him. I'm trying to spread the word with all of my former college buddies that are still here in IL.

RE: States with ballot access
I just received my May 1st issue of Ballot Access News (BAN) and the CP is now qualified for a place on the ballot in 19 states. Ballot drives are also completed in 3 other states (MO, NM and OH) and awaiting certification from state election authorities. One state (TN) is in court along with the LP and the GP. So far the LP is on the ballot in 28 states, the GP is on in 22 states and nobody else is qualified in at least 10 states including Ralph Nader. So far it is not too late in any state but it is very unlikely the CP will qualify in GA, IN, MD, NC, OK and TX due to very high signature requirements.

As for Indiana, I would be thrilled to help collect signatures there. I was part of the signature collection effort to get Ron Paul on our primary ballot, and I know others in my Ron Paul Meetup who would join in working to collect the signatures needed to get November ballot access for Baldwin. If we effectively recruit from the network of Ron Paul supporters that's already in place in the state you might be surprised how quickly we can collect a very large number of signatures. I'm not yet an actual member of the CP, but my friend who is (and is also in my Ron Paul Meetup) has gotten an email from our state CP chairman soliciting help in getting signatures. I contacted that individual several days ago seeking to get involved and haven't gotten a response. I know that there is untapped manpower in Indiana. It's up to the CP in our state to decide how serious it wants to get in increasing its size and influence. All I can say so far is ye have not because ye ask not.

I am here in Indiana and would seriously appreciate your help. I have gathered 18 signatures and have another 7 that are pledged to sign. Will post more later, probably tomorrow.

Hey, Eric! Im in your meetup group, too. I would be willing to collect signatures too. I think the idea should be presented to the group. We haven't had anything proactive to do for a while now. I believe MI already has ballot access.

RE: States with ballot access
MI does have ballot access--but you guys could help out some local candidates. Also, the National Office for the Chuck Baldwin campaign will be in Michigan.

There is no indication in the June 1st edition of Ballot Access News that either the LP or the CP has collected any significant number of signatures as yet. Since the deadline isn't until August 15th I suspect both campaigns are placing their focus elsewhere where deadlines are closer.
