RE: States with ballot access
I just received my May 1st issue of Ballot Access News (BAN) and the CP is now qualified for a place on the ballot in 19 states. Ballot drives are also completed in 3 other states (MO, NM and OH) and awaiting certification from state election authorities. One state (TN) is in court along with the LP and the GP. So far the LP is on the ballot in 28 states, the GP is on in 22 states and nobody else is qualified in at least 10 states including Ralph Nader. So far it is not too late in any state but it is very unlikely the CP will qualify in GA, IN, MD, NC, OK and TX due to very high signature requirements.

RE: States with ballot access
I have a friend who works in the South Carolina Voters Registration, she has a friend who helped me and my parents vote for Ron Paul in the SC primary and I have her e-mail address. I'll e-mail her and ask her about the CP's ballot access in South Carolina.
Can someone explain to me something, as a free country, who do the CP, LP, and Green Party need to sign petitions with so many signatures and even go to court to get ballot access? Is this just the limiting of individual freedom of choice? Is it the Dem's and Repub's being the whiny spoiled brats that they are? Are they that afraid that if the people have choices that they wont choose them? It seems this goes hand in hand with the, "A vote for a third party is a wasted vote" garbage I hear all the time.

The CP (as well as the LP and the GP) is already on the ballot in SC.

As for Indiana, I would be thrilled to help collect signatures there. I was part of the signature collection effort to get Ron Paul on our primary ballot, and I know others in my Ron Paul Meetup who would join in working to collect the signatures needed to get November ballot access for Baldwin. If we effectively recruit from the network of Ron Paul supporters that's already in place in the state you might be surprised how quickly we can collect a very large number of signatures. I'm not yet an actual member of the CP, but my friend who is (and is also in my Ron Paul Meetup) has gotten an email from our state CP chairman soliciting help in getting signatures. I contacted that individual several days ago seeking to get involved and haven't gotten a response. I know that there is untapped manpower in Indiana. It's up to the CP in our state to decide how serious it wants to get in increasing its size and influence. All I can say so far is ye have not because ye ask not.

RE: States with ballot access
That sounds like a great idea (using the Ron Paul Meetup groups to help gather signatures) and hopefully Gary Odom or someone from the Baldwin campaign is reading this thread and taking your advice.

NEwFederalist,
If there is one thing we learned in the paul campaign it is this: Do NOT expect the campaign to utlize the grassroot's good ideas.
We MUST do it ourselves.

RE: States with ballot access
Ballot access is key; so I have just read that there are about 10 states that we may not make it on the ballot because lack of signatures. Signatures cost money. Use the Ron Paul network.
This is where Chuck has to show leadership; he needs to find the funding for these signature drives, or his campaign will be viewed as a joke.
If he is only on 20 state ballots; he has no hope of winning.
I am in this to win.

Cannot fault your point about getting access, but though I am in it to win, I am mainly in it to be loyal to Christ, which precludes me voting for Dems, Repubs or LP.
Good talk on this is from Chuck's 2004 speech:
