Austin Cassidy's Independent Political Report did an analysis of Google News data, finding that Bob Barr and Ralph Nader account for about 92% of online media coverage.

It seems to me that Nader gets a lot of liberal love, plus the fact that he has a history of running for president and being a Democratic swing vote. I think that one thing helping Barr is that he is making frequent television appearances, which translate to YouTube hits.

What may be the biggest factor for Barr is that his campaign puts out press releases almost every day, discussing the issues and criticizing his opponents. I admit that I enjoy reading these, and they are very good. His recent "Stop the War Threats, Emphasize Diplomacy with Iran, Says Bob Barr" is a good example.

I would really like to see the Baldwin campaign get this active. We could also use some work by our supporters to create news worthy of sites like IPR that get tons of hits and are featured on Google News. Be sure that any action you do gets posted to videos and blogs online.
